Jacob Cummings is a true Sacramento native, having been born and raised here in city of trees. Growing up Jacob lived in different areas around the region and as such he acquired in-depth local knowledge on the inner-workings of these communities. He’s lived in Roseville, Granite Bay and eventually moved to the Land Park corridor where he attended high school. Locally, people instantly recognize Jacob and his wife Ashley, as they truly “stand out” in crowd. Literally speaking they stand out as one of the tallest couples in the area, with Jacob at 6’ 8” and Ashley 6’ 4”.
But, anyone who knows Jacob knows that charity work is at the heart of what makes him tick. He is a dedicated and active volunteer at Shriners Hospital for Children-Northern California where he works with the transportation team, the child-life department, the holiday toy drive and he also supports several hospital events throughout the year. As a Shriner himself, Jacob is a proud member of the Islanders Club where he raises money to bring children who are burn victims from impoverished third-world countries and organizes getting them to Sacramento for treatment.
After careful consideration Jacob decided to pursue a career in real estate based on his unique skills with organizing and negotiating complex projects. Jacob was a natural fit to become a key member of Realtors Who Shrine, a donation based real estate organization that gives back 25% of their commission to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Prior to becoming a Realtor, Jacob was a federal government employee working as a specialist in the disaster assistance area. As a disaster assistance specialist he assisted homeowners, renters and business owners who suffered losses caused by natural disasters to get back on their feet. During his tenure, Jacob assisted hundreds of families and businesses by guiding them through the complex process of applying for and receiving government backed loans. He attained top achiever status for his work during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
Jacob’s years of community outreach, non-profit stewardship, event coordination, marketing and branding, team leadership, customer communications, and analytical problem-solving have all combined to prepare him his career in real estate. He proudly joins the team of outstanding REALTORS at Nick Sadek’s Sotheby’s International Realty Sacramento office. At Soethby’s Jacob looks to work with discerning clients to help them with their real estate needs and even do some good in the world at the same time.
